Financial Access for Women
In 2018 Afrione organized training on Access to Finance for women engaged in micro and small enterprises in Dar es salaam. Through this training, about 52 young women were reached. This is a fulfilling initiative to give financial literacy to the youth and women in our society. We believe that this initiative will make a positive difference to the financial well-being of youth and women empowerment in our country
Kilimo Loan for Women Group in Mikese Ward
This was a game-changing loan for women in Agriculture from Mikese ward. This is a women farming group situated in Morogoro rural district. It is the area where agriculture is the core activity and the farmers produce for household consumption with a little surplus for sale. Eighty percent of residents are of low income, with poor education mainly involved in agriculture as the main economic activity.

The Kilimo Loan program is a loan program to help the poor, vulnerable and women start small businesses, increase income and build sustainable futures. The Mikese village received a microloan of Tsh 30 million and 10 women received this loan for farming. The farmers in that village changed their style of farming and as a result, increased the amount of production from 2 maize sacks to 8 sacks per acre.
